The effort continues to remain collaborative amongst the stakeholders in the Jamaican education sector as a unified force is needed to get the children learning again safely.
Comprehensive research has been done on the need for Information and Communications and Technology (ICT) in educational development across the Caribbean region, and although progress has been made, the margins of success are thin as the onset of the pandemic has highlighted.
The list of add-ons to the normal costly process of supporting the education of children compounded by increasing inflation and the depreciating dollar value of incomes (if any) will become a stretch for some parents. However, parents have to adjust their mindset to the change approach as they overcome challenges rather than acceding to despondency.
